In October 2020 I lost my beloved Mum to cancer; in March 2021 a friend and a mentor to Covid. It was the moment when I thought that’s it. That’s just it. I can’t stand the overall situation anymore and do nothing. There is so much hopelessness around (which is understandable), so much pain, so much sorrow and desperation, that I don’t see any other way out of this state except from finding a way to each other, sharing our experiences, knowledge and emotions, creating solidarity and supporting each other. Everyone should do what they can and are able to offer at this particular point in time. Since I cannot really change the world on a big scale (yet ;)) I would like to try to change the world around me, in physical and digital way.
So here’s the thing:
- I offer some of my time as a sparring partner for free. If you want to talk about your career choices, negotiations, how it is to be a working mum or just how shitty this pandemic is, you can book your appointment here.
- I would like to start a (digital) round table in German and English for business mums where we will talk about the challenges that we face in our careers. More info will follow soon.
- I decided to start this blog to share my experiences with you.
Am I outing myself? Yes. Do I make myself vulnerable? Of course. Am I afraid to fail? Also yes. But if there is even one person out there, who I can help, support or just put some positive perspective on their life – it was already worth the effort.
I don’t have any proper plan, I don’t know where it all will lead me, but I don’t have much to loose. I just wanted to start somewhere and this here is my official public starting point.
